RAMBLES 2008

The following are the provisional dates of rambles for 2008. Some changes were made at our most recent committee meeting on 28th January so that we can get the ultimate benefit of each trip.This page will be regularly updated as we get closer to the rambles to help you decide whether or not this outing is for you. On most trips it is hoped that we will have the services of a ranger or specialist guide to enhance the experience of the outing. A couple of taster session to Daviot and Ness Islands will be added throughout the season for new members or those considering joining. Thurs 27thMarch Culloden Woods. Cancelled due to bad weather and fallen trees.
Friday 18th April Grantown on Spey - Anagach Woods. Route audited and final touches to arrangements being made. We will have the services of a local ranger. Joining instructions will be given in the usual manner.
Tuesday 13th May Contin Forest Walk. Route audited and judged to be most enjoyable and informative. Walk is in and out. Length can be flexible to a point and we stop just short of the falls. Joining instructions to follow in the usual manner.
Friday 6th June Wind Farm Garbole
Sat 5th July Drumnadrochit and AGM.
Monday 11th August Tomintoul - Country Walk
Wednesday 3rd September Darnaway, Nairn
Tuesday 7th October Glenmore
Saturday 8th November TBA
Thursday 4th
December Christmas ramble
to Brahan Estate with Christmas lunch at Stonehouse of Foulis.

Sometimes changes to the programme have to be made, due to circumstances outwith our control. Detailed joining instructions and any changes are to be found in our regular members’ news-letter Rambling On... If you have ideas for future rambles please let us know. You need to book your scooter as early as you can; if you have to cancel please let us know and someone else can be given the chance to borrow a scooter and join in. Bookings close 10 days before the ramble. Tuition is given to new members.
